Hiring: Recruitment Specialist

The Recruitment Specialist role in Yardstick is responsible for executing the full recruitment cycle across the company’s business units — including Café Operations, Head Office Support, and Sales Divisions. The role ensures that the organization attracts, sources, and hires qualified talent aligned with company standards, culture, and growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job requisition, sourcing, screening, interviewing, up to job offer and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies per function (Café, Head Office, Sales).
  • Prepare and post job advertisements on various platforms (social media, job boards, career pages, etc.).
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate with hiring managers for technical or final interviews.
  • Facilitate background checks, reference verification, and pre-employment requirements.

Candidate Experience and Employer Branding

  • Ensure a positive and professional experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Represent the company as an employer of choice through professional communication and consistent brand presentation.
  • Support employer branding initiatives by promoting job openings through social media and career marketing efforts.

Recruitment Analytics and Reporting

  • Maintain and update recruitment trackers and candidate databases.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness.
  • Analyze recruitment trends and recommend process improvements.

Onboarding and Coordination

  • Coordinate onboarding schedules and turnover of new hires to the HR Operations and Training teams.
  • Ensure proper handover of personnel files and pre-employment documentation.

Compliance and Process Standardization

  • Ensure that all recruitment and hiring activities are compliant with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives for recruitment efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or any related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably in F&B, retail, or sales-driven organizations.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing channels for frontline (barista, café staff), back-office, and sales positions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and online recruitment platforms (e.g., Facebook, JobStreet, Indeed, LinkedIn).
