Hiring: Warehouse Delivery Helper
The Warehouse Delivery Helper role at Yardstick is a support role primarily responsible for assisting with the preparation, loading, and delivery of goods from a warehouse to various destinations. This role often involves physical labor and requires attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely shipments.

Work Location: San Juan
Responsibilities:
- Assigned in the safe and efficient loading of goods onto delivery vehicles and unloading them upon arrival at the destination. This can involve heavy lifting.
- Assisting with items pickup and return with proper documentation.
- Helping the primary delivery driver with navigation, route planning, and other assistance needed.
- Verifying delivery manifests, ensuring all items are accounted for, and obtaining clients’ and customers’ signatures as an acknowledgment of having received the delivered products.
- Accompanying delivery drivers on routes to help with navigating, lifting heavy items, and ensuring that goods are delivered to the correct locations. This can involve direct interaction with customers.
- Communicate with customers by phone to update them on the time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival. Always communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
- Compiling accurate delivery records and reports.
- Reporting all delivery-related problems to immediate head.
- Responsible for the safekeeping of vehicle accessories, tools and equipment attached to the vehicle.
- Ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Other task may be assigned.
Ideal Candidates:
- Physical Stamina: The ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Spending time on the road, assisting with deliveries in different weather conditions.
- Teamwork: A cooperative attitude and the ability to work effectively with drivers and other warehouse staff.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in checking orders, packing items, and verifying deliveries to prevent errors.
- Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are crucial for maintaining delivery schedules.
- Basic Math Skills: For verifying quantities and tracking inventory.
- Communication Skills: To interact clearly with colleagues and customers.
