Hiring: Inventory Field Specialist
The Inventory Field Specialist role at Yardstick supports accurate inventory management by monitoring stock levels, tracking movements, and conducting regular physical counts across multiple locations. The role ensures inventory records are up to date, coordinates with warehouse and logistics teams, and prepares inventory reports for management. This position also helps maintain stock integrity, supports process improvements, assists in system implementation, and may travel to various sites to perform inventory audits and provide on-ground support.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Monitoring and Control:

Tracking inventory levels at different sites or in the field.

Ensuring adequate stock levels to meet demands.

Monitoring stock movements, including incoming and outgoing deliveries.

Implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures.
Conducting Physical Inventories and Audits:
-
Performing regular physical counts of inventory.
-
Reconciling physical counts with inventory records (both manual and electronic).
-
Identifying and investigating discrepancies between physical and recorded inventory.
-
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of inventory data.
Record Keeping and Reporting:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, often using inventory management software or systems.

Documenting inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements.

Generating inventory reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and other relevant data.
Coordination and Communication:

Collaborating with warehouse staff, logistics teams, and other relevant departments (e.g., purchasing, sales).

Communicating inventory status, issues, and needs to stakeholders.
Ensuring Inventory Integrity:

Monitoring stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to minimize waste and obsolescence.

Implementing measures to prevent stockouts, losses, and damages.
Process Improvement:

o Identifying opportunities to improve inventory management processes and efficiency.

Potentially assisting in the implementation of new inventory management systems or technologies.

Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory.
Training and Support:

Training and supporting staff on inventory procedures in field locations.
Reporting:

Generating regular inventory reports, including stock levels, audit findings, and potential issues, for management review.
Assisting with Inventory System Implementation:

Participating in the implementation and rollout of new inventory management systems or technologies at field sites.
Travel:

Willingness to travel extensively to various company locations to perform inventory management tasks.

Performs any other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Management.
Ideal Candidates:
- At least college graduate.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with food industry or warehouse distribution center operations or warehouse production setup preferably as Inventory analyst.
- Knowledge in performing inventory reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse, sales and other departments.
- With a background in Inventory Software.
- Good analytical and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively, if the role requires it.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
