Hiring: Beverage Innovation Specialist

Job Summary:

The Beverage Innovation Specialist is responsible for crafting unique and innovative beverage recipes that highlight the versatility of syrups and coffee products, catering to both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. This role combines a passion for coffee and mixology with expertise in flavor pairing and customer engagement, aiming to enhance the overall experience for showroom visitors, including walk-in clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Recipe Development: 

  • Design and test innovative drink recipes tailored for different settings (cafes, restaurants, bars). 
  • Create seasonal drinks options to keep existing clients engaged and inspired
  • Maintain and manage a flavor bank that showcases various syrups and flavor profiles, making it accessible for client presentations.
  • Stay updated on beverage trends in the beverage industry to help with creating new designs of drink recipes.

Training and Documentation: 

  • Develop easy-to-follow recipe guides, including ingredient lists and preparation steps.
  • Offer basic training to clients on recipe execution and flavor pairing with DRiPP syrups.

Costing and Menu Development: 

  • Work with clients on drink costing to ensure profitable menu options.
  • Assist in menu design consultations, advising on drink placement and seasonal rotation.

Client Experience and Demonstrations: 

  • Provide interactive walk-in support, guiding clients in recipe options and showcasing product versatility.
  • Conduct on-site tastings, field demos, and participate in events to promote DRiPP syrups.

Collaboration: 

  • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional materials and strategies for new and seasonal recipes.
  • Gather feedback from clients and the sales team to continuously refine recipe offerings.

Job Specification/s:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Certificate or short courses in Mixology, Barista Training, or Beverage Management is a strong advantage.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in beverage recipe development, mixology, or barista operations. Experience in cafes, bars, or beverage companies is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create beverage recipes, including seasonal or specialty menus, for commercial purposes.
  • Strong understanding of flavor pairing for coffee, non-coffee, and alcoholic drinks.
  • Familiarity with beverage costing and profitability analysis.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Teamwork and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Computer literate (Proficient in MS Office, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proactive and create a positive experience for everyone.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure.
